Realistic Expectations for your Guide Trip

  • While no guide can guarantee muskie action, you can expect that you will learn a lot and you'll be a better muskie angler as a result of your guide day or guide night with me.

  • Expect that the weather might change, so be prepared.

  • Expect to mark a map with where we fish during your guided day.

The boats I guide from are Crestliner 1850 Fish Hawk Muskie Editions.  My boats are both a bit older and proven.  Better yet, my boats are paid-for, which helps keep my guide rates reasonable and affordable.  My Crestliner boats aren't as pretty as they once were, but I can count on them if a storm suddenly appears out of nowhere, whether it's a thunderstorm or snowstorm (as in the photo).  My boats have been involved in literally hundreds of catches of muskies, including dozens of 50+ inchers, as well as several days and nights where we caught multiple 50's.   With all those muskie catches, a boat gets a few scars.  If you want to fish out of a sparkly boat and don't mind paying a much higher guide rate, then there are other guides I can happily recommend.  However, if you want to catch muskies from a proven muskie boat and you don't mind the boat having a few scars from hundreds of muskie battles, then give me a call and let's go muskie fishing.

Do you want the GPS coordinates of the muskie spots we fish, entered into your boat's GPS unit? I offer an option to do your guide trip from your boat so the spots we fish will be recorded on your GPS.  You'll will be able to return to those exact GPS coordinates spots again and again.
